A powerfully built chestnut, Zachzell was an excellent racehorse, competing from age 3 through 9. His stakes victories include the Budweiser Classic and Region I Charles O. Pollard Memorial Challenge. He also finished second in the Arabian Cup Classic (G1) and third in the Armand Hammer Classic H. (G1).
Zachzell is by stakes winner BRUSALLY ORLEN, who won or placed in 17 of 19 starts. Brusally Orlen is also the sire of stakes winners RD ZELL and JUSTAJOYY among his many winners.
Zachzell is out of an unraced daughter of JAF Orphatyn, who has been a stellar producer. In addition to Zachzell, she is also the dam of BJ Zell (2nd by a head in the Daughters of the Desert Oaks (G1), Littlesisterzel, Dashing Zell and R L Zell.
