Mellonah is a race winning mare out of the Samtyr daughter, Betsama. Mellonah is the dam of the quite famous NO SHOW JONES, who has now won over $120,000. Mellonah has been producing winners for many years... her first foal, the 1994 model Orzelda, was a winner. Mellonah's 2001 foal, WHOS YOUR DADDY, is now making a big mark. She is stakes placed and also a stakes winner, with earnings of over $75,000 and still racing.
Sire of Mellonah was the imported stallion *Mellon, born at the Michalow State Stud in Poland. He was the great son of Celebes, out of the mare Mantyla by Grand- a pedigree very much revered for racing ability. After a successful race career in Poland winning 8 races, Mellon was brought to the states in 1978 when he was 9 years old. He sired over 45 winners including 11 known stakes winners.
*Mellon's most famous racing daughter is the Hall of Fame mare HT Sarah, $251,989. Mellon is also sire of champion reining horse PB Walor.
