FALINA DES FABRIES was owned by Shadwell Estate Company, LTD of the U.K., and stood at stud at Loren Nichol's Trackside Farm in Florida. Trainer Nichols had just recently returned from Texas, when two FALINA DES FABRIES offspring had swept both divisions of the Lone Star Futurities on December 10th, 2006. FALINA DES FABRIES died on Christmas eve, following a long fought battle against an unusual illness that was being treated with stem cell injections. The stallion had a great future as a sire, and his loss is considered a real tragedy. FALINA DES FABRIES moved into the spot of number one leading sire of Arabian racehorses in the U.S.A. in May 2007.

FALINA DES FABRIES was born in 1993, and raced from age 4 through 8 in France, England, Qatar and UAE, and compiled a record of 5 wins and 13 places in 22 starts with earnings over $113,000. His stakes victories include a win in the Abu Dhabi International Stake. He was sired by France's leading sire, DORMANE, and out of a daughter of DJOURMAN. He was imported to the U.S. in 2001.

FALINA DES FABRIES' first foals raced in 2006 and won 7 of a possible 8 black type stakes races for 3 year olds. (Statistics limited to black type races in Delaware and Texas.) Often the Falina Des Fabries babies took 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd prize in the same stake like in the ARC Juvenile Fillies Grade 1 Stake. The 1st 3 finishers were -- Scoot, Rolly Polly, and Kittilina.
